Kripalu Yoga is a gentle yoga practice with a compassionate approach. It has an emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation that over flows from the yoga mat into every day life. Over time, students are taught to observe their thoughts without judging and to accept and love themselves as they are.
Practice focuses on the uniting of breath and movement. During classes poses (asanas) can be held for a longer period (relative to some other styles) so one can explore both the physical and emotional sensations of the posture.
Kripalu Yoga explores gentle, yet dynamic practice spontaneous, flowing and mediation orientation. It is the yoga of self-compassion and can initiate a gradual process of physical healing, psychological growth and self-awareness.
